SymbiozA symbiotic enterprise to deliver green technologies

In short

We deliver green technologies to the people in the Himalayas, with a mission to empower and mobilize local communities to enable a positive impact on their lives and the environment. We call Symbioz a symbiotic enterprise, because unlike other enterprises it enhances the well-being of people while contributing to the conservation of nature.
Appropriate technologies are being developed considering social, cultural, economic and environmental parameters to address the problems and needs of the local people.

Our mission

We strive to mobilize community and raise awareness by building a movement of people around environmental issues. Our enterprise model empowers local people by bringing them together as stakeholders in the enterprise, raising their awareness, developing their capacities and enabling financial returns.

The existence of the enterprise in itself should positively impact the local community and the environment in the long term.

Our objectives

Developing   appropriate   solutions

Efficient use of biomass and solar energy should be accessible to the people of the rural Himalaya.

Empowering   local   communities

Mobilization, participation and awareness raising of locals as the key to a successful enterprise.

Protecting   the   environment

Approaching decisions with the Nature as leading factor.

Impacting   local   &   global   issues

When green technologies and the empowerment of people can make a sustainable change.

Products

We design and manufacture multi-fuel, multi-utility and non-polluting indoor and outdoor stoves.
Our stoves are designed in such way that they promote a very efficient combustion of the fuel and optimize the utilization of heat that is produced, which drastically reduces the consumption of wood (about 30% of the quantity used with traditional stoves).
The combustion of the fuel being efficient the emitted fumes are free of toxic gases.

For the winter 2016 - 2017 we propose 3 different models of stove.
